InfraMation 2006 Recap - The Best Yet!

by David Francoeur
Director of Marketing - FLIR Systems

As many of you know, InfraMation 2006 took place last week in Las Vegas, Nevada!

It started with a bang when Steve Ramos, host of the television show “House Detectives,” came on stage to address the crowd and speak to why he uses infrared cameras. Thanks Steve! It was a great success.

What more can be said? Was it a success? Should you plan on attending InfraMation 2007? Well, the best feedback doesn’t come from conference managers, facilitators or even the sponsors: it comes from the attendees.

Here’s what they had to say:

“It personally helps me to grow professionally and network in a formatted and affordable manner.”

“I loved the morning topics with the Q&A period!”

“I thought the whole atmosphere was electric and informative. As a new thermographer, the interaction with many experienced individuals was inspiring.”

“This was my first time attending InfraMation. I learned so much, listening to the papers as well as attending the clinics.”

“Interesting talks. Wonderful hosts. Great food! Learned a lot. All good.”

“I have had new possibilities presented that will broaden my own infrared applications.”

“This was my first conference and I was impressed. The format was good and the wide array of uses and topics were interesting.”

“Gets better every year with variety and content.”

“The proceedings book was beautiful!”

“This was the best IR conference I have ever attended, and I have been to as many as anyone. You could feel the excitement there…Kudos to you guys!”

“My first conference: it was filled with info that was very helpful to me.”

“A top notch job!”

“Both years that I have attended, I have picked up a number of ideas which help me to enhance and expand my IR trade. I also like the general sessions as those give me an idea of how IR is growing and expanding.”

“Awesome job! The presentations were super!”

“It was extremely diverse and with me just starting my consulting business, it was essential to be exposed to as many application areas as possible.”

So there you go! These comments cover many areas of the conference, right down to the food! But, of course, there’s more to add. InfraMation 2006 had close to 600 people attending – a record number! There were over 50 technical papers, 23 separate workshops or “IR clinics” and panel discussions. One hundred sixty attendees brought their wives or husbands and took advantage of our Guest Pass, many of them for FREE by registering early!

IR Clinics were a popular
item as usual

Fifty seven attendees brought in their own IR camera for a free multi-point inspection and cleaning – a $500 value for FREE. Thirty attendees paid nothing at all (and saved the full $1,395!) because they bought a new FLIR infrared camera – mostly High Definition P640’s! – tied to special offers launched before the conference!

And, a great many attendees have already registered for InfraMation 2007 and received a FREE $50 Home Depot Gift Card. If you want to register for InfraMation 2007, please call Martha Wouralis at 1-800-254-0632.

Anyone who registers for InfraMation 2007 before the end of 2006 will get this $50 FREE Home Depot Gift Card and any additional benefits for next year’s Early Bird Registration Program! So, if you’re planning on attending next year, why not call Martha now – and get a FREE Home Depot Card?!?!?

We hope to see you in 2007, and thank you all for making InfraMation 2006 the world’s largest and best infrared camera conference!
